The Man-Made Textile Research Association (MANTRA) in Surat has partnered with the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), a division of the Quality Council of India (QCI), to offer a specialized training program on medical textile testing.
Scheduled for November 21-22, 2024, this on-site program will take place at MANTRA’s facilities in Surat, targeting professionals keen to advance their expertise in the growing medical textiles field. As the demand for high-quality, sterile medical textiles continues to rise, this training aims to provide industry professionals with advanced knowledge and practical skills.
Key topics will include an overview of medical textiles, microbiology’s role in textiles, and techniques for microbiological testing. The program is designed for laboratory personnel, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) managers, and textile testing specialists, focusing on enhancing technical proficiency to maintain high standards in medical textile production and testing.
This initiative aligns with QCI's mission to strengthen India’s quality ecosystem through skill development. Dr. Bhumi Rajyaguru, NABL’s Deputy Director in Ahmedabad, emphasized the commitment to fostering a skilled workforce capable of meeting international standards. MANTRA’s Assistant Director, Murtuza Chaniwala, highlighted the program's significance in ensuring the highest standards for healthcare textiles, reflecting NABL and QCI’s broader goal of promoting quality-driven advancements across industries.
