Xenia Materials, a leader in high-performance thermoplastics, is set to unveil its new 3DF filament range for FFF 3D printing at Formnext 2024 in Frankfurt. This innovative lineup highlights Xenia’s expansion into the FDM/FFF 3D printing sector, offering advanced, sustainable filaments tailored for high-strength and lightweight applications. The 3DF range reflects Xenia’s dedication to developing materials that meet the rigorous demands of modern 3D printing, providing solutions that balance strength, lightweight properties, and sustainability.
Central to this range are materials like XECARB® SL 3DF, a bio-based PA11 filament with 15% carbon fiber, optimized for exceptional strength and low density of 0.99 g/cm³ through Xenia’s SuperLight technology. Another key material, XELIGHT® 3DF, combines the flexibility of PEBA with engineered lightweight performance, achieving a density of 0.87 g/cm³. For industrial applications in harsh environments, the XECARB® 45 3DF filament offers a PVDF base modified with 10% carbon fiber for enhanced chemical resistance and structural strength.
The 3DF series also includes XEGREEN® 23 3DF, a sustainable option crafted from 100% recycled polymers and 20% carbon fiber-reinforced PETG, providing strength and eco-friendly benefits for environmentally conscious manufacturers. By introducing the 3DF Materials line, Xenia underscores its commitment to pioneering high-performance, sustainable solutions for 3D printing, enabling users to reach new heights in additive manufacturing.
