John Lewis has revamped its apparel line with a focus on environmental sustainability in response to complaints from British customers about shrinking or pilling fabric. John Lewis has released the first set of items in their “innovative new circular collection” for home and fashion. This collection aims to “minimize waste and maximize longevity” to reduce the environmental impact of their products.
The department store chain describes its initial 20-piece circular collection—which includes pyjamas, babywear, knitwear, mattresses, duvets, and pillows—as “just the beginning.” John Lewis plans to extend this redesign to thousands more products by 2028.
John Lewis commercial director Kathleen Mitchell stated, “We are always seeking ways to combine style and sustainability for our customers. We know they want products that look good and last, and that’s exactly what these designs deliver.”
