Nibertex, a tech startup based in Singapore and operating in the Philippines, has successfully concluded a funding round. The initiative was led by Foxmont Capital Partners, a venture capital firm in the Philippines, with additional support from influential families in Southeast Asia. With backing from Capital Partners, Nibertex aims to speed up its efforts in developing innovative solutions for sustainable textiles and addressing environmental issues in the fashion and textile industry.
The new funding is expected to help Nibertex accelerate the launch of its groundbreaking membrane technology, which is free from harmful Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS). PFAS, also known as the "forever chemical," is commonly found in textiles and is known for its persistence in the environment, as it does not break down easily.
By initially focusing on technical textiles, Nibertex plans to use its expertise to tackle challenges across different industries, ensuring that its innovations benefit society while meeting the demand for eco-friendly solutions.
Jelmer Ikink, a Founding Partner at Foxmont Capital Partners, expressed excitement about Nibertex's mission, highlighting the company's readiness to revolutionize industries by eliminating harmful chemicals from everyday products. With years of research and development, Nibertex is well-positioned to drive transformative change.
