ANDRITZ will unveil its cutting-edge nonwovens production and textile solutions at Techtextil in Frankfurt, Germany, from April 23 to 26. The diverse ANDRITZ Nonwoven & Textile product portfolio encompasses state-of-the-art technologies for air-through bonding, airlay, needlepunch, spunlace, spunbond, wetlaid/WetlaceTM, converting, textile finishing, recycling, and natural fiber processing. At Techtextil, a special focus will be on technologies for textile sorting and recycling, bast fiber processing, needlepunch, airlay, wetlaid for technical fibers, and life-cycle service.

A highlight in textile recycling is the automated textile sorting process developed through a partnership between textile recycling company Nouvelles Fibres Textiles, waste sorting specialist Pellenc ST, and ANDRITZ. This automated sorting line efficiently sorts garments by composition and color, addressing both post-consumer and post-industrial waste markets. The line also removes hard parts like buttons and zippers, preparing the material for further processing in ANDRITZ tearing machines to produce recycled fibers for various industries.

ANDRITZ's airlay technology is instrumental in producing durable nonwovens for various applications, including automotive, building insulation, carpet underfelt, mattresses, and furniture. This process offers versatility in blending and consolidating fibers, ensuring homogeneity and mat regularity across a wide range of weights. Additionally, ANDRITZ wetlaid technology efficiently processes technical fibers for applications in transportation, aerospace, filtration, and construction, providing customized treatment for gentle fiber handling and forming.
