Precot, a leading player in India's cotton and yarn manufacturing, based in Coimbatore, achieved a significant milestone today by becoming a new Corporate Member of The International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF). This step is aimed at strengthening India's presence within the federation.

Christian Schindler, the Director General of ITMF, expressed that welcoming Precot as a Corporate Member enhances India's representation within the federation. He highlighted the advantages Indian companies gain from a strong domestic market and increasing interest from global sourcing entities. Precot's decision to join ITMF after participating in the ITMF Annual Conference 2023 in China is a promising sign of ITMF's international platform for global companies. The expectation is that Precot will benefit from this membership through direct access to industry-specific information, an extensive international network, and ITMF's representation of the sector in global forums.

Ashwin Chandran, the Chairman and Managing Director of Precot, emphasized ITMF's appeal, recognizing its representation across the textile value chain, including fibre producers, apparel, home textiles, and technical textiles manufacturers. Access to an international network within the industry provides insights into global dynamics, enabling a broader perspective on the global textile landscape.

Chandran highlighted the significance of gaining direct access to information and forging personal connections with industry colleagues worldwide, underscoring the potential for making well-informed decisions.
