YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2023-10-20 10:30:40 – USA

DuPont is teaming up with Greentex for the Printing United show, where they will showcase fabrics produced by Greentex using polyester PCR (post-consumer recycled content) and printed with DuPont's Artistri water-based pigment inks.

Greentex is dedicated to making textile production more environmentally friendly. They use recycled materials to create innovative products that can be recycled after printing. Their aim is to provide solutions for fashion and home textiles, inspiring those who want to make a positive impact on the world.

Steven Amitai, GM of Greentex, emphasizes their commitment to sustainability and ethical practices, ensuring that their products can be recycled after use. DuPont's Artistri P2700 pigment inks align well with their sustainability goals, as they consume less energy and water during printing.

DuPont's Gabriela Kim explains that digital printing with pigment inks is becoming more popular in textile printing due to its minimal water usage. This approach reduces the environmental impact and doesn't require additional steps like steaming and washing.

The Artistri P2700 pigment inks provide vibrant colors and are suitable for various applications, from apparel to home furnishings. Using these inks on more sustainable fabrics helps reduce the textile industry's environmental footprint.

Overall, this collaboration showcases a commitment to eco-friendly practices in textile printing, promoting sustainability in the industry.
