Adidas has launched its second clothing collection called Adizero Control, which incorporates RHEON™ technology from RHEON Labs®. This technology utilizes a unique reactive super polymer called RHEON™ to enhance athletes' performance.

According to Simon Huntsman, the Commercial Director at RHEON Labs®, this innovation is crucial in the world of elite sports. Traditional sportswear can cause energy loss due to unwanted muscle movements. However, apparel featuring RHEON™ acts like a responsive exoskeleton, reducing these inefficiencies and boosting performance.

The RHEON™ material optimizes muscle positioning, directing more energy into performance, which is particularly beneficial for athletes pushing their limits. This material is flexible but stiffens up during high-intensity movements, offering support without restricting movement.

RHEON Labs® has strategically placed RHEON™ across key muscle groups, using computer modeling to ensure optimal support during exercise. They've also collaborated with top-tier manufacturers to integrate RHEON™ into the apparel seamlessly.

This technology represents a significant breakthrough in sportswear, combining biomechanical research and complex chemistry to enhance athlete potential and performance. RHEON Labs® and Adidas previously collaborated on the TechFit Control collection in March 2023.

Moreover, RHEON Labs® is currently partnering with university experts to validate the performance benefits of their material. Initial testing shows that RHEON™ can control four times more energy than traditional elastane-based textiles, greatly enhancing support during intense movements.
