A roadmap for achieving a high-circularity, low-emissions system for PET packaging and polyester textiles in Europe has been published by B corp Systemiq, which creates partnerships to implement system change.

According to Systemiq's new study, the publication of a circular economy blueprint for packaging and textiles in Europe comes at a time when the European market for polyester and PET is undergoing significant change.

It makes sense that new reusing innovations are arising, strategies are commanding higher focuses for reuse, in addition to the administrative cycle to fabricate an additional round materials framework is gathering pace.

The review is the second in a series and blueprints six need activities expected to change the PET/Polyester framework. The synthesis study evaluated the current state of PET/polyester circularity in Europe as well as the solutions that are available to build a system that is more circular. It draws on insights that are derived from over 80 published reports and incorporates input from experts in the industry.

Demand reduction, reuse, mechanical recycling, and chemical recycling are just a few of the circular economy strategies highlighted in the study.

The actions framed in the report are focused on possibly easing back utilization and laying out both mechanical and synthetic reusing frameworks that altogether increment reusing rates and accordingly, the accessibility of top notch reused PET/polyester.
