Poshmark, a resale marketplace, and EnviroKlenz, provider of innovative laundry solutions, announced their new partnership in cooperation with brand ambassadors, to encourage secondhand shopping and reduce textile waste.
According to a press release, the goal is to keep clothes "in circulation for longer and help make a beneficial influence on the earth."
The parties hope to counter the spread of fast fashion and promote more sustainability by encouraging customers to buy and sell preloved clothing rather than constantly buying new clothes
Customers will receive instruction from EnviroKlenz on how to properly clean and maintain products that they have purchased used or that need to be repaired and made ready for sale. The brand's products will be used by the ambassadors to provide guidance on the subject.
Alysa Burch, director of marketing of EnviroKlenz, said that together, they seek to inspire consumers to make more ecologically responsible choices when it comes to fashion and to help them extend the life of their clothing items with their safe and effective laundry products.
Kelly Mason, a Poshmark representative, said that they're happy to join with EnviroKlenz to advance their shared mission of sustainability. Together, they're optimistic that they can persuade shoppers to keep used clothing in circulation for longer and contribute to a beneficial environmental impact.
The selected brand ambassadors will be in charge of disseminating their personal stories and tips for restoring used clothing. They will demonstrate how using EnviroKlenz products can help retailers maximize resale value by restoring clothing to its original state.
