Kids and baby apparel brand Hanna Andersson, has launched a new online website for the resale of its products.
The platform, called "Hanna-Me-Downs," was created through a collaboration with the retail technology firm Archive, which supports brands with its own resale solution options.
The marketplace, which enables customers to purchase and sell used goods, expands on Hanna Andersson's roots as an environmentally responsible company.
The brand was established in 1983 with the goal of obtaining long-lasting textiles for children's clothes.
Aimée Lapic, CEO of Hanna Andersson, said that childrenswear was notorious for being discarded early in its lifecycle, contributing to excess waste and landfill. The staff at Hanna firmly believes in promoting childhood for both the current generation and future generations. Through this new offering, they'll build on their Hanna-Me-Down philosophy and, practically speaking, that circularity is a win for their customers, future generations, and, therefore Hanna. Their team performs rigorous wash and wear testing to ensure every new fabric and design meets their high standard of delivering the long-lasting, quality clothing their customers deserve and have come to expect.
Sellers using the platform will have access to the brand's descriptions, photos, fabric details, and more to create their listings. They will also have the option of using gift cards, which add 125 percent more value to each sale.
