Green Theme Technologies Inc (GTT), the global supplier of water-free and PFAS-free textile finishing, is pleased to announce that it has raised $5.4 million in its series B2 financing.

This new funding will be used to expand GTT's ground-breaking EMPEL™ performance technologies, which already include the best durable water repellent (DWR) finish on the market, stain protection, a new method of keeping shoes dry, and ongoing joint development of water-free dye (WFD) with leading mill and brand partners. Each fiber in a fabric is evenly fused with PFAS-free chemicals thanks to the innovative technology. The performance of EMPEL™ treated fabrics substantially surpasses that of competing C0 and C6 products on the market.

The recent California Bill (AB 1817), which was passed into law last month and forbids the use of PFAS chemicals in textiles, is prompting mills and brands to embrace the GTT EMPEL™ solution more quickly. In addition to being under legal pressure, textile producers and clothing companies are beginning to understand that inefficient, traditional water-based textile dyeing and finishing processes waste a tremendous amount of energy, cause massive amounts of water pollution, cost a lot to clean up, and perform worse than GTT's EMPEL™ water-free processes.

Cottonwood Technology Fund is the principal investor in the series B2 round and focuses on innovative, science-based inventions.

Green Theme's business concept aims to change the fact that the world's second-largest water polluter is the rapidly expanding textile and fashion sectors. GTT and their licensing partners are significantly decreasing global water pollution by substituting effective, water-free, and PFAS-free EMPEL technology for conventional water-based wet textile finishing procedures. As a result, textile goods are cleaner, more effective, and more sustainable.
