British department store, Harvey Nichols will join the secondhand resale craze by collaborating with the resale technology provider, Reflaunt.
Customers will be able to resale bags and any luxury item in their closet, including clothes, accessories, and watches, through Harvey Nichols' Reflaunt Resell Service, which will debut on August 26.
When the products are resold on the online service via the department store's website, sellers will get up to 80% of the original price back in the form of a direct bank transfer or Harvey Nichols vouchers.
Items can be left off at Harvey Nichols locations in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, or Leeds, with Reflaunt's concierge service picking, will pick the goods up from London addresses.
Customers from outside the UK will be able to utilize the service with free delivery starting in September.
Reflaunt, which launched in 2018, connects luxury fashion labels with top second-hand markets to encourage people to resell their gently used products. It has the world's largest second-hand community, with 50 million customers spread over 25 foreign markets.
Harvey Nichols CEO, Manju Malhotra, said that they're pleased to be collaborating with Reflaunt to offer their consumers a circular model of consumption and guarantee luxury fashion goods are given the extended lifespan that they deserve.
Malhotra added that this unique service gives consumers an easy method to part with their gently used goods, and by rehoming them with a new owner, they not only receive Harvey Nichols coupons but they also closes the fashion circle.
