For the first time, retailer & Other Stories is unveiling a collection for women and children that includes summary, printed dresses, and sets made from sustainably sourced fabrics.
The collection is inspired by the relevance of female role models in a young girl's life and includes six complimentary looks for girls aged one and a half to eight years old, including a dress for the woman and a dress or coordinated set for the girl.
The collection main looks include a white broderie anglaise midi-dress with the smocked body, ruffled sleeves, and a contrasting A-line skirt for the woman is transformed into a two-piece set of top and shorts in the same silhouette for the girl, and a knee-length dress with puff shoulders and a ruffled hem for both women and girls is available in a pink/purple on white flower print or a black polka dot print on white for both women and girls
In both models, a soft pink maxi dress with tie-up shoulder straps, smocking detailing across the bust, broderie anglaise trim, and a deep ruffled hem are available. The soft pink is the first time & Other Stories has used plant dyes. The dye comes from the Rubia cordifolia, a coffee-family flowering plant.
A sage green flower print midi-length dress in Tencel lyocell and linen with cross-body wrap, voluminous sleeves, and deep ruffled hem transforms into a two-piece ensemble of top and shorts with ruffled sleeves and scalloped hems, among other sustainable highlights. Organic cotton is used in all pieces except for the sage green ones.
In a statement, designer at & Other Stories, Marthe Bianchi, said she is proud that they will share their fashion aesthetics and passion for storytelling with a younger audience while still honoring female role models.
Prices range from 27 to 95 pounds / 29 to 149 dollars, and the collection will be available from May 18 in select & Other Stories shops and on stories.com.
