Premium nylon 6.6 producer Nilit which is headquartered in Israel, has introduced SensilĀ® BioCare, a sustainable premium Nylon fiber enhanced with special technology that is said to help reduce the accumulation of textile waste in seawater and landfills
SensilĀ® BioCare is the newest addition to Sensil's large range of environmentally conscious premium Nylon products that benefit the entire textile supply chain, from polymer to finished garment. Nilit claims it created these goods to assist the textile and garment industry in addressing specific environmental issues such as water consumption, ecosystem impact, and recycled material use, as well as to respond to customer demand for more environmentally friendly textiles.
Nilitās General Manager, Ilan Melamed said that their new Sensil BioCare was created to help reduce the possible effect of synthetic fabrics on the Earth's ecosystems. They offer customers the same efficiency, convenience, and reliability they expect from Sensil premium Nylon, plus the assurance that they are helping the environment.
Sensil BioCare has a built-in technology that, according to Nilit, has been shown in an independent lab to break down Sensil BioCare fibers even faster than traditional nylon. To consider the possible effect of Sensil BioCare on all habitats, tests were performed in both landfill soil and seawater models. In contrast to nylon fiber that did not have the special technologies, Sensil BioCare demonstrated impressive disintegration in both virtual environments during the test periods, according to the manufacturer.
Initial tests in accordance with ASTM D6691 Standard Test Method for Determining Aerobic Biodegradation Of Plastic Materials In The Marine Environment and ASTM D5511 Standard Test Method For Determining Anaerobic Biodegradation Of Plastic Materials Under High-Solids Conditions, shows that Sensil BioCare yarns break down faster than conventional yarns under anaerobic digestion conditions. These encouraging results point to less waste accumulation in both oceans and landfills.
Sensil BioCare's unique technology will not wear or wash down, and it will not compete with other performance additives, finishes, or dyes. Sensil BioCare is also generated safely, according to Nilit's Total Product Sustainability (TPS) guidelines. Sensil BioCare fabrics are said to be long-lasting, soft, and aesthetically rich, allowing conscientious shoppers to enjoy their clothing even more recognizing that they are contributing to a sustainable solution.
