ETSA board brings together CEO's from Europe's leading textile service companies

Carrington supports many of the world’s largest employers comprising of sectors from heavy industry to health and is one of Europe’s largest workwear suppliers. Worldwide it operates in more than 80 countries supplying to key customers which include McDonalds, BUPA, TATA Steel, Shell, Coca Cola, Airbus, Jaguar Land Rover, BP, Arcelor Mittal.

The European Textile Services Association provides a platform for the industry leaders to share best practice, representing the textile services industry for over 20 years. Carrington is thrilled to exchange ideas, knowledge and developments in sustainability with an association which is working with the EU to improve legislation and conduct essential research.

Robert Long, Secretary General at ETSA said that, “The ETSA board brings together CEO’s from Europe’s leading textile service companies, as well as top supplier firms. We look forward to hearing John’s views, from a textile manufacturing perspective as we believe in a full value chain approach.”

Working chiefly with companies who give importance to fair competition, sustainable business models and corporate responsibility, ETSA members uphold a high standard of health and safety in the workplace and are committed to protecting the environment. As Carrington is a key supplier to the majority of the industrial laundry groups represented on the board, it is looking forward to make its relationships strong and share key observation around the industry’s changing requirements, including working with micro-plastics, energy use and water consumption.

Managing Director of Carrington Textiles, John Vareldzis has joined the European textile service industry’s leading figures on the European Textile Services Association’s (ETSA) Board of Directors. This follows the association’s decision to enlarge its industry representation across the supply chain and extend an exclusive invitation to Carrington who join as the board’s only textile manufacturer.

In joining ETSA’s Board of Directors, John will sit alongside senior textile service executives, including Juha Laurio, CEO of textile service company, Lindström, and Peter Egan, CEO of Johnson Service Group.John Vareldzis commented that, “This invitation is recognition of our organisation's growing global status. I’m thrilled to have been invited onto this board and look forward to working alongside this team of thought-provoking and innovative industry leaders.”
