The French luxury fashion house Kenzo is launching a second capsule collection with WWF which will feature their emblematic tiger in a new graphic representation as part of their continued support of tiger conservation.
The collection is going to launch on March 22 and will feature a new tiger graphic across essentials which includes T-shirts, tank tops, and sweatshirts. 100% organic cotton certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) has been used in manufacturing all the clothing pieces. The new capsule design was designed by creative director Felipe Oliveira Baptista, which follows the success of the partnership's initial collection.
Kenzo has pledged to donate 10 US dollars for each piece sold towards the ongoing Tx2 worldwide campaign that is committed to double the number of tigers in the wild by 2022 which is also the Chinese Year of the Tiger.
The global population of wild tigers has fallen by over 95% since the beginning of the 20th century. The main reason behind this is the rampant poaching and rapid habitat loss, because of which an estimate of 3,200 wild tigers was left in 2010. Various initiatives managed to increase their number to 3,900 in 2016.
This collaboration is a part of a bigger partnership between the luxury fashion brand, Kenzo and WWF as they will work together in improving the sustainability of the cotton supply chain and freshwater footprint.
Kenzo x WWF capsule collection will be available in Kenzo stores in Dubai, Riyadh, Kuwait, Doha, Abu Dhabi, and Harvey Nichols across all-region and online. After its launch on March 22.
