The Taiwan Textile Federation now focuses on establishing itself and mastering innovative, sustainable and intelligent textiles. The country’s performance in recycled materials and fibers is already appreciable but is still enthusiastic about combining high-tech, ecology, functionality and life aesthetics for finding more sustainable solutions in the textile industry. The manufactures while producing the raw materials and fibers also keep in mind the sustainable textile standards given in Bluesign, GRS, ZDHC, Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex and Restricted Substance Lists.
The Taiwan Textile Federation is also catering online on ISPO Munich Online in this pandemic to interact with the global buyers. In the “Taiwan Select” section there are videos and descriptions of their innovative products that have been used in different sectors and projects in textiles & apparel, healthcare, fitness, and urban segments to keep up with the sustainability aspect.
A few of the products featured are Umorfil, a bionic fiber technology, bio-based Airmem Colorshell fabrics with USDA certification, and Seawool, which is made from discarded oyster shells and recycled polyester bottles.
