What is NFY?
Nylon Filament Yarn is referred to as NFY. Nylon filament yarn belongs to the family of synthetic polymers, they are long continuous fibers which have a wide range of applications in manufacturing textile fabrics for knitting, weaving, embroidery, fishing nets and other industrial applications. Nylon filament yarns have many properties such as high tensile strength, durability, elasticity, and enhanced abrasion resistance.
Since the decade, the attention of apparel manufacturers are shifting towards nylon fibers. The main reason for this is it’s outstanding tensile strength, scrub resistance, and high elasticity which makes it an ideal product for the textile industry. The lightweight nature and smooth feel of the fiber is promoting its application in knitted fabrics and hosiery. The increasing growth in technical textiles is also increasing the growth of the nylon market. The commercialization of sports apparels and equipment is also increasing the growth of the market.
Some of the leading regions in the nylon market are North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Central & South America, Middle East and Africa which includes countries like US, Germany, UK, France, China, India, and Japan. The largest manufacturers of Nylon filament yarns are Formosa, Asia Fiber Public Co. Ltd, Chainlon, BASF, etc. Some of the leading vendors of Nylon Filament Yarns are DowDuPont, Formosa, Chemical and Fibre Corp, NUREL, superfil, TORAY INDUSTRIES, W. Barnet, etc.
