Hamrick Mills, a textile manufacturer in Gaffney as part of its expansion plan to make investment of $6 million in its facility to expand its production capabilities. Hamrick Mills produces top-quality greige woven fabrics for use in the home furnishings, industrial, apparel and support apparel markets.
Hamrick Mills CFO Charles Hamrick, said that their company strongly believes in investing in their community by being a good corporate citizen and also by encouraging civic involvement by their associates.
Their current expansion efforts show a continued resolve to invest in their community and grow their business for the benefit of everyone involved.
Hamrick Mills will be using the capital investment to purchase new equipment for both of its plants in Cherokee County. Two state-of-the-art vertical manufacturing facilities produce fabrics in widths from 48" to 135", and in weights ranging from <2 to 6 ounces/sq. yard.
This investment continues to verify Cherokee County's commitment to existing industry, said Tim Spencer, Cherokee County Council chairman. They look forward to the next 100 years of partnership with the Hamrick family.
Hamrick Mills employs 430 across both its production facilities, sales office and its corporate headquarters. It has operated in Cherokee County for more than 115 years.
