In China, offers for ring?spun 30s weaving yarn in Xiaoshan rose US cent 1 a kg in the third week of June while compact siro?spun 40s yarns in Jiangsu were up US cents 2 a kg on the week.
Viscose spun yarn prices followed the uptrend of VSF market in China. Offers for Xiaoshan?origin ring?spun 30s yarn were mostly increased and buying mood was boosted as well. Market players were in sentiment of when the prices are on the rise. Thus, bullish mindset set in, also bolstered by expectation of tighter VSF supply following the production cutbacks of some producers will increase raw material prices.
In India, viscose yarn prices inched up on support for firmer VSF cost and export realisation. Exports continued to decline, posting 50% drop in May, but has been seeing significant increase in unit value realization since March. 30s viscose spun knitting yarn price inched up INR1 a kg in Ludhiana to INR180 a kg (up US cents 2 on the week).
In Pakistan, viscose spun yarn prices remained flat on the week, in line with the stability in VSF prices.
