In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices rolled over in the first week of March while FDY40D were up US cents 8 a kg.
Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices were stable while 30D/10F prices were down US cents 7 a kg on the week.
Monofilament 30D prices remained unchanged while 1.5D staple fiber was steady during the week.
With recovering caprolactum and firmer nylon chips, nylon filament yarn prices were range bound on cost pressure, but hike of prices met sharp resistance.
Downstream makers resumed normal operation in China with circular-knitting mills and covering mills operating at 40-60%, warp-knitting mills running at 60-80% of full capacity.
On the back of mildly increased demand, the market was awaiting replenishment season. Demand for staple fiber, fishing-net yarn, monofilament and cord fabric improved, with a cautiously upbeat outlook.
