Nylon yarn prices firm on steady demand
YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2018-01-23 06:34:07 –In China, nylon FDY70D/24F and FDY40D SD prices were stable in the second week of January. Nylon DTY 70D/24F and 30D/10F prices also were firm during the week. Monofilament 30D prices were steady while nylon staple fiber 1.5D prices rolled over on the week.
Nylon filament yarn prices were range-bound this week on the back of steady demand and firm chip prices. Inventory did not increase much during the week. Since Chinese year-end is approaching, yarn plant rates will remain low for some time.
Overall, nylon yarn prices are likely to range bound in coming weeks.
