In Jiangsu, 40s compact sirospun yarn prices rolled over in the third week of June while 30s spun viscose in Xiaoshan remained unchanged on the week. Offers for ring-spun 30s yarn were down US cents 5 a kg on the week.

Spun viscose yarn market performance appeared soft that week in China as upstream VSF prices for medium?end goods inched up while high?end goods rolled over. However, offers for ring-spun 30s yarn moderated on demand squeeze while offers for other specs were largely flat.

In India, viscose yarn prices remained unchanged on the week with VSF relatively stable, but weak currency pegged prices US$ terms down on the week. 30s viscose spun yarn prices fell US cents 2 a kg (due to weak INR) in Indore market.

In Pakistan, viscose yarn prices were stable and apparently being supported by a relatively good demand on the export market.
