The All Pakistan Textile Mills Association is making efforts that the government should pay special attention to the promotion of business activities and especially on the development of textile sector in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, as terrorism and natural disasters has played havoc with the economy of the province leaving it far behind in the development.
Aptma on Tuesday called for the announcement of special relief package for the rehabilitation of terrorism and natural disasters affected businesses of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The demand was made during a meeting held with Saleem Saifullah Khan, a member of Aptma Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the chair. Those who attended were included Senator Osman Saifullah Khan Chief Executive M/s Saif Textile Mills Ltd, Barrister Assad Saifullah Khan Director M/s Kohat Textile Mills Ltd, Afan Aziz Chief Executive M/s AJ Textile Mills Ltd, Sikandar Kuli Khan Khattak Director M/s Babri Cotton Mills Ltd, Liaquat Ali Khan Chief Executive M/s Mezan Textile Mills Ltd, Mohammad Hussain Shah Chairman Amin Group of Industries, Mohammad Taimour Shah Director M/s Sarhad Textile Mills Ltd and Fazle Subhan of ITHFZ Mills Ltd.
They said that due to peculiar situation, the province is the victim of backwardness and business community is worst affected. They demanded of the government for announcement of special incentive package for the business community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The participants welcomed the decision of Supreme Court and Peshawar High Court regarding Gas Infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC).
