Gul Ahmed is a network of composite textile mills which manufacture everything from yarn to finished products and one of the largest exporters of textiles to Sweden. Their goal is to increase exports and provide exposure and access to Pakistani fashion designers and brands to the Scandinavian markets.

Scandinavian countries including Denmark, Norway and Sweden are growing markets which offer great potential for Pakistani products, especially textiles. Gul Ahmed Textile plans to accelerate efforts to explore more export opportunities in these markets.

According to Ali Mohammad, Chairman of Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited, the Pakistani textile industry has a lot more to offer to the quality-conscious Scandinavian markets.

Gul Ahmed is active in manufacture and sale of textile products. The manufacturing wing is an essential component in Gul Ahmed's operations. The manufacturing cycle, which includes spinning, weaving, processing, designing and stitching, results in an end product that is tailored to the most stringent customer requirements.

Charlotte Kalin, Chief Executive of CTS, said that the Swedish Chambers and the Swedish government recognize Pakistan’s potential for industrial and economic growth.

The Chamber Trade Sweden plays the role of a facilitator and connects the businesses, especially in developing countries, with their counterparts in Sweden. The Chamber provides knowledge tools and builds capacity of foreign companies to export to Sweden, and of Swedish companies to expand sales in international markets.

Pakistan exports to Sweden consist mainly of textile, garments, leather and sports goods. Ikea, H&M and Lindex are major buyers of textile products and have their own offices in Pakistan.
